The College of Environmental Design at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) houses the Department of Art, home to the Visual Communication Design (VCD) Program. Programs of Note: Social Practice
Internships at local and national companies, and international travel opportunities are also available to all SoA students. All students will complete Professional Practices in Visual Communication Design—culminating experience (Capstone) for the program. The Final Portfolio Review for the Cal Poly Pomona VCD Program will be conducted by alumni who are design professionals and leaders in the industry.
Tuition is $42,560 with 100% of students receiving an average of $26,025 in grant aid. There are special competition scholarships that are matched by MCAD, the ARTS and the Scholastic Art Awards. Tuition is $60,590 with 43% of students receiving an average of $58,188 in grant aid.
The majority are art museums but include history, natural history, science and anthropology.
